The women of Picadilly Canada & their careers

Picadilly Canada Women Fashion Careers

At Picadilly Canada we take great pride and inspiration in knowing that the women wearing our clothes are continuously achieving great things. The garments we design are worn by professionals making changes in the board room, women running their own businesses, women who are studying, parents, creatives, valuable employees and community members. Knowing this is very exciting for us!

The women who purchase our clothes are supporting our family business which was founded in 1975 by Jack Dombrowsky, the father of our current Presidents. Since the beginning we have been proud to be a company who employs a high ratio of women (90%) across all areas including management, finance, design, production and sales. We promote women in leadership positions and offer professional development opportunities for career expansion.

As a teen Ozzie Moniz started her career with Picadilly Canada in our shipping department. Today, she is one of our two Vice Presidents, overseeing our sales and shipping which spans internationally to Europe, Australia, Asia and America. Ozzie’s level of responsibility within our company is enormous and incredibly broad. Ultimately it is her passion for new development, sales and our customers that has driven her to great heights of success.

Our Vice President of Operations and Quality Control came to us with a great deal of expertise, as a P. Eng (Ontario Professional Licenced Engineer) and PHD in Textile Engineering. Seventeen years later, Albana Petrela continues to be an invaluable part of our operations as she works between suppliers, designers and production teams. Albana’s passion for women’s fashion comes from the end product, which she believes materialises the efforts of everyone involved. Spoken like a true leader!

We are so grateful to work with such incredible women on a daily basis and want to wish all our customers, staff and loyal stores a very happy International Women’s Day!
